Every morning in our little cove we are visited by a fisherman in a little wooden boat. We enjoy his visits as he trolls on by. The distinguishing characteristic is that he is naked as a jaybird and free to show off the goods if any one is watching (which of course, we always are). We fondly refer to him as the Weenie Wagger.
Well, yesterday morning he trolled by as usual then as he came by again he had put on a shirt as it really was a bit chilly. We have taken that as a sign that our summer here in Greece has come to a close and it is time to sail on.............
See photos below and feel free to click on the first photo and enlarge it to see the goods....
No, we mean you will REALLY need to enlarge it !!!!!!!!!!!

Fall Equinox In Greece
Wow, where has the summer gone? This week is coming upon the Fall Equinox on Wednesday, September 22. Equinox means "equal" as in equal day and equal night. And it symbolizes balance as it always falls on the day when the sun enters Libra, the sign of balance. The Fall Equinox serves as a reminder that the masculine energies symbolized by the Sun and the feminine energies symbolized by the Moon become equal partners. So as always Mother Nature reminds us to look within and ponder....
Are we living our life in balance? Is there equal balanced juiciness in our spiritual life and our physical life? Are we living in harmony with who we truly are?
After our time on the island of Corfu, we sailed down to the island of Paxos for the night. It is the picturesque little island that claims it's fame to the best olive oil in the world. Rumor has it that Harrods only buys it's olive oil from here and it's the only oil the Queen Mother will use.
We don't know what is true but we hunted down the funky little hovel of a warehouse with it's huge barrels of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Richard asked the owner if it was true that Extra Virgin Olive Oil came from really, really ugly olives!!!!! Haha, get it? Of course we bought our fair share of oil. And we bet that you are wondering if it is the best and we can only wonder with you. It is good- very good, but the best--how would we ever know?
Back in our favorite cove nestled among the mainland and the islands of Levkas and Meganisi we have spent a couple of fun nights socializing (which is quite uncharacteristic of solitary us) with Pamela and Graham-- a couple of special Brits who also claim this cove as home. Their further claim to fame is that they had an award winning restaurant in England. And we can say without a doubt that our best meal this summer was cooked for us by Graham aboard their boat. How lucky and blessed have we been by our short friendship with them. Thank you Guys.....
We spent a few rainy, blustery days at a little port on the island of Meganisi. Walking up in the authentic Greek village we took photos of the clusters of grapes growing high on the overhead trellises of everyone's porch.
Then once again we came back to our favorite cove and here we will be for Equinox and full moon the day after. This will be our second full moon here in this wonderful cove and then alas, we need to move on. It is still warm and sunny (mid 80's) but chilly at night. We are still swimming, sunning and snorkeling--living like castaways on our own little island barely combing our hair and dressing up in our sarongs when we need to dress at all. Yes, we are savoring each and every moment of it!!!! .

Peace with Greece
We realize that there is a very fine line between "telling the truth" and "complaining". Which have the last 2 blog entries been? We are not quite sure, but would like to believe that "telling the truth" has been the "truth " of the matter and if not, well then we apologize....
Our truth at the moment is that we have made great progress in moving from the "hyper-alert" state that we were living in, towards an easeful state of "attentive-awareness"- and that feels much better. We have had the time to process and just "be" with all that is in the "here and now" and just breathe, rest and relax. For this we are thankful.
We made our way back west to the Ionian Sea and the beautiful Greek islands in this area. It was immediately at least 10 degrees cooler and the winds and seas are much more gentle here. After anchoring on the islands of Ithaca and Cephalonia we found a sweet, quiet cove off of the island of Levkas and mainland Greece. And here we bobbed around at anchor for almost 2 weeks---swimming. snorkeling, sunning, and just "being". We call our little anchorage "Sheeps Cove" as the sheep meander down the pasture to the beach every morning and evening tinkling with little bells around their necks. And the mountains to the west remind us of the Tucson Catalina Mountains in our desert home. We felt the same awe as the full moon rose over these mountains as we do when we are in Tucson at full moon time.
After our quiet time in Sheeps Cove we sailed up the the northernmost Ionian Island of Corfu to pick up a part and finish some repairs on EcstaSea. We arrived in the harbor just in time as a big Northwesterly wind blew for 2 days and we were tucked in safe. We spent a day sightseeing in the old town of Corfu with it's old fort up on the hill and are now ready to move on again.
We are encouraged and delighted that we are having such an enjoyable time here as we have finally made peace with Greece. Or perhaps, Greece as made peace with us......
